New Product Announcement

Introducing 857N-018 Blue

The DuPont Company and Intech Services, Inc. are pleased to announce a new addition to our family of Teflon* Industrial Coatings. After extensive research development and testing 857N-018, a water-based blue PTFE one-coat, is now in stock and available at Intech Services.
As environmental concerns in North America continue to tighten on our community of coaters, Dupont introduces a water based one coat for corrosion resistance and anti galling. With VOC’s of less than 3lbs per gallon this water based one coat uses water for both cleanup and thinning.
857N-018 was developed specifically for environments where anti-corrosion and anti-galling are required.   The anti-corrosive qualities improve when the coating is paired with a zinc phosphate pre-treatment; however, it also works very well when applied over a cleaned and lightly blasted substrate
857N-018 is a blue PTFE one coat that cures at a low 450F. It is very affordable and can be built up to 2.5mils if multiple coats are required.
As with all new additions, expectations are very high for this coating. It has been very competitively priced and we urge you to contact us for a quote or to learn more about this new coating alternative.
Contact Chris Dohl at Intech Services for pricing and additional information.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DUPONT: GENX Technology

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DUPONT™; GENX Technology

Intech Services is excited to announce the Dupont™’s development of GenX technology, a patented, more sustainable processing aid that enables DuPont™ to manufacture high performance fluropolymers without the use of PFOA.  Dupont expects that GenX products can be used as replacements for historical products with minimal processing adjustments.  GenX products are being formulated and commercialized based on market segments.  GenX initial product roll outs will begin at the end of the calendar year with their specialty systems.  Not all products will be converted at once with other toll outs taking place threw 2012.

I encourage you to read the formal DuPont announcement at Intechservices.com.

Announcement for a New Teflon* Coating

 Introducing 857N-018 - Teflon* Blue

The Birth of BLUE
The DuPont Company and Intech Services, Inc. are pleased to announce a new addition to our family of Teflon* Industrial Coatings.  After extensive research and development, 857N-018, which is a water-based, Blue PTFE one-coat, is now in stock and available at Intech Services.
858N-017 was developed specifically for environments where anti-corrosion and anti-galling are required.   The anti-corrosive qualities improve when the coating is paired with a zinc phosphate pre-treatment; however, it also works very well when applied over a cleaned and lightly blasted substrate.
This environmentally friendly coating is water-based which makes it low in VOC’s and uses water for cleanup or if thinning is required.  For a one-coat application, a cure cycle of 450F (metal temperature) for 20 minutes is all that is needed.  When the recommended application steps are followed, 857N-018 has a continuous operating temperature rating of 400F.  This coating is not for applications where FDA compliance is needed.
Like all new additions, expectations are very high for this coating.  It has been very competitively priced and we urge you to contact us for a quote or to learn more about this new coating alternative.

Knight's Armor PFA

 Introducing Knight's Armor PFA - 532-13032

Knight's Armor PFA
In Medieval Times, A Knight’s Armor provided vital protection against existing and newly developed weaponry during this particularly violent period.   While we no longer live in Medieval Times, of course unless you participate in Renaissance Faires, billions of dollars are spent annually developing products to protect us and the products we use.
While PFA coatings, in general, have excellent abrasion resistant qualities (toughness), DuPont has taken abrasion resistance to another level within the PFA line.   Taber abrasion tests have shown that the molecular weight of a coating plays a critical factor in abrasion resistance; the higher the molecular weight the better the abrasion resistance.  DuPont has combined a high molecular weight PFA with silicone carbide fillers to produce Knight's Armor 532-13032, the most abrasion resistant coating in the PFA family.
532-13032 is an FDA approved gray powder that combines a unique balance of strength and excellent release which is unparallel in the industry.   532-13032 has been developed for environments where you need the chemical resistance, release and operating temperature ratings that are inherent in PFA.   And, for an end use that requires extra abrasion resistance, Knight's Armor 532-13032 will put your coating recommendation at the top of the competitive bid list.
As in Medieval Times, the higher quality the armor, the stronger the Knight. When you think about it, any Teflon® coating that you apply to a substrate is like giving it a high quality “suit of armor”.
