Intech in the Community

Chris Lord, Intech Account Manager, helped with a Junior Achievement event at Forwood Elementary this past month.

Junior Achievement Biztown is a virtual town where kids get an understanding of how the finances of  businesses and communities are run.  At Forwood, the 80 5th graders were assigned jobs and responsibilities working for different entities like: town hall, a utility company, drug store, radio station, and the bank.   In this virtual workshop, the kids all have functions and earn two paychecks while they are participating.  They learn to open a savings account, make consumer and commercial deposits at the bank, and are able to make purchases with the money they earned from the other businesses.  Chris's function was to oversee the town hall group (Mayor, Rotarian, Town Treasurer, and Attorney) to ensure that they performed their jobs and worked as a team.  Their job was to get their peers to vote on a referendum.  Chris found that the kids got a lot out of the day and understand the real world.  Ironically, Chris's daughter Lucy's role was the CEO of DuPont Motor sports.

Gen X Transition Update

GenX: DuPont has committed to no longer make, buy or use perfluorooctanoic acid, (PFOA) by 2015, or earlier if possible. A new DuPont technology includes a processing aid that enables DuPont to make fluoropolymers without the use of PFOA. With this new technology, DuPont has commercialized products for Industrial Fluoropolymers.

Intech will be converting customers to the use of fluoropolymers made with GenX technology as these products become available and as our stock of the current products are depleted.  We will make announcements as each one of our products transition to the new GenX product.  The codes for the products are also transitioning.

Based on internal testing, DuPont expects that the new products can be used as replacements for the historical products with minimal processing adjustments.

Please also note that sales of these products will now be priced and packaged in kilograms (kg) instead of liquid weights (gallons).

Products being transitioned:                   New Code:
954-203                                                       954G-303
958-207                                                       959G-204

NAVY ONE COAT INTRODUCED FROM DUPONT™ 420G-102

Dupont™ continues to focus on growth in the North American Industrial market.  With its primary focus on the GenX conversion, Dupont™ still found time to create a durable navy one coat with excellent release properties.   420G-102, is a navy one coat comprised of PES and PTFE.

This coating can be applied to both food and non food applications and operates at temperatures up to 500F, an advantage over competitive extreme release one coats.  For years our customers have been asking for the ability to differentiate their coating services thru the use of color.  Now Dupont’s™ 420 line coatings come in Black, Sparkling Black, Grey, and Navy.

Dupont’s™ 420 line one coats are very easy to apply and have been used successfully in a variety of industries.

o   Food Processing
o   Oil and Gas
o   Packaging
o   Mold Release

420G-102 is in stock, as are all of Dupont’s™ Industrial finishes distributed by Intech Services.  No lead times enables your company to carry less inventory.

When quoting your next job, consider applying 420G-102.  When you order a Dupont™ Industrial Finish you can be assured of short lead-times and predictably consistent lot to lot quality.
