Intech recently exhibited at the Fabtech Show for the first time, and we felt it was a successful and productive event. We experienced steady and quality traffic through our booth and had solid interest in new Teflon® coating projects from engineers. We also had many quality contacts with existing customers and CoaterONE manufacturing vendors.
Fabtech is the largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishingevent in North America. Show organizers are reporting over 1,200 exhibitors and over 25,000 attendees walking the 450,000 square foot show room in the Las Vegas convention center.
In the Finishing area of the show, there were many new product reveals and demonstrations that we found interesting for our customer base. Nordson is introducing a new line of liquid spray guns. PQ Ovens has re-engineered their industrial oven line – mechanically and appearance. Spray Tech had an impressive display of their spray booths. Mighty Hook's demonstrated their unique overhead conveyor racking system. Fischer Technologies had their full line of high quality thickness tester available for demonstration.
Some trends we observed at the show were that the exhibitors were primarily North American companies. Unlike other shows where attendees were primarily information gathering, we witnessed that attendees were there to do business, buy equipment, and were looking expand and grow their current business. This was a promising outlook for North American for manufacturing.
We were so impressed with the show that we already committed to a larger booth at Fabtech 2013 in Chicago, IL from November 18-21, 2013. We are excited for the Chicago venue because we know that many more of our customers will be present at the show. We encourage you to plan this in your schedule for 2013, particularly if you are located in that region.

Intech Joins CCAI
The finishing section of the Fabtech Show is sponsored and organized by CCAI (Chemical Coaters Association International). We have considered joining this organization for many years, and finally decided to become a member after hearing positive feedback from member companies. If your company is a member of CCAI, we would love to hear how you utilize this membership and any experiences that you have had with their events and presentations.
