Since we sell RAL powder coatings, many of you have been asking about the the Carlyle Group's purchase of DuPont Performance Coatings. The DPC division has nothing to do with Teflon* coatings that we distribute and the Industrial Finishing Division will remain a DuPont Division.
The Carlyle Group has completed the $4.9 billion purchase of DuPont Performance Coatings and announced on February 4th, 2013 that the company has been renamed Axalta Coating Systems. The company has been in the coating industry for over 90 years and will be a good investment by the Carlyle Group.
