Getting The Right Oven: Determining Chamber Size

Determining industrial oven size is directly correlated with process needs. Factors to consider when determining the proper oven chamber size are:

  • Size of the product or parts
  • Number of products in each batch
  • Spacing required between multiple parts
  • Method of material handling – ensuring there is enough room to move the product in and out of the oven safely

Once these factors are determined, an approximate chamber size can be decided. Flawed results will occur if the interior chamber is too small and there is insufficient space between parts.  If the chamber is too large, both time and energy are wasted.
