Intech Services Year End Report 2014

Intech's Year End Report is to present a comprehensive snapshot of our second half of 2014.  At Intech, we work hard to stay on the forefront of our industry by working with DuPont to bring you the best coatings and information in the industrial coating industry.  We also work with our CoaterONE vendors to bring the best products in the market for your industrial supply and equipment needs. Highlights of the Second Half DuPont Announcement: In October 2013, DuPont announced plans to spin off two of its businesses, DuPont Titanium Technologies and DuPont Chemicals & Fluoroproducts, into a single new company. We anticipate the official "spin date" to be mid-2015. A great deal of work has already started so the transition is seamless for our suppliers, customers, and partners. We will continue to keep you informed as more information becomes available. Intech Information Institute in Redondo Beach, CA: We had a wonderful workshop in beautiful Redondo Beach, California the first week of October.  Intech gathered together with customers from 10 different companies. The new and existing management team from DuPont was there to meet customers and talk about the future of the company and the fluoropolymer business.  The workshops included:  DuPont’s complete fluoropolymer industrial coatings line, uses and applications in industries, coating selection, application and troubleshooting, virtual liquid spray training, and sales & marketing tactics and strategies to use in the industry. If you were not able to attend this year, make sure you mark your calendars for Fall 2015 in a different location.  We will let you know as soon as we have a date and location. Trade Shows: We successfully displayed at 3 trade shows, Fabtech, Corrosion 2104, and Powder Coating Show 2014. Attending such trade shows help to raise the awareness of DuPont™ Teflon® industrial coatings and Intech Services, capture leads from new buyers and prospects, and create and/or strengthen our industry relationships and partnerships. Technical and Property Blog Series: This past year we developed a series of technical blogs to help assist and educate the industrial coaters we work with. Every day at Intech we receive requests for technical help with  DuPont™ Teflon® industrial coatings. The blogs provided scenarios of technical issues a coater may experience. Once a month, we posted a frequently asked question on our blog followed by an answer from our technical staff. Along with technical advice, we highlighted the properties of DuPont™ Teflon® coatings.  DuPont™ Teflon® industrial coatings are highly durable and long lasting performance coatings that have a distinct application process and qualities that offer solutions in a variety of industrial markets. This series of property blogs  featured one of these inherent properties of DuPont™ Teflon® coatings and how each property can solve a variety of problems. Pioneer Series: Recently we established a new interview series spotlighting DuPont™ Teflon® industrial coaters. Through a series of interview questions, we will highlight the long-standing careers of devoted DuPont™ Teflon® industrial coaters and their accomplishments in the field. With the pioneers' vision and ingenuity, DuPont™ Teflon® coating continues to be regarded as the elite fluoropolymer of choice. We plan to feature 3 to 4 companies per year. Our  first pioneer interview was Bruce Nesbitt of Orion Industries. New DuPont™ Teflon® Industrial Coating Marketing Literature: Intech is partnering with DuPont to create sell sheets for all DuPont™ Teflon® industrial coatings. The new marketing pieces completed so far include DuPont™ Teflon® Primers for Fluoropolymer Coatings. You can download the available marketing pieces  here.  MSDS Updates: As a result of a formatting change, there have been a significant number of MSDS updates.  The following products have had updated MSDS or Fact Sheet information in 2014. As new updates continue to become available, we will be sure to pass the changes on to you. If you utilize these products, you can download MSDS and Fact Sheets when you sign into your account on our website. Company Milestones Births: Two employees celebrated the birth of a new child. Nicole McCall welcomed a new baby girl, Chayse Ann McCall, in August. Ben Murrow welcomed a baby girl, Abigal Leigh Murrow, in November. Anniversaries: Nicole McCall celebrated five years with the company in August. Chris Lord celebrated five years with the company in October. Congratulations Nicole, Ben, and Chris. Volunteer Day 2014: The first volunteer day at Intech Services took place this year. We had 2 groups from Intech Services sorting donated food and packing boxes for the Sunday Breakfast Mission Thanksgiving event. They gave out over 1200 Thanksgiving food boxes to needy families in the community. We had a lot of fun working together to serve the surrounding community in Delaware. We are working hard to be intentional about giving back to our community. As a result, we have chosen a few local charities to support more consistently as a company, one of those being the Sunday Breakfast Mission.. Holiday Adopt-A-Family: Intech Services has developed a community reinvestment team which is tasked with how our company can give back to the community. Over the holidays, Intech adopted two families in the community for the holidays. We were able to provide gifts, a holiday dinner, and some additional groceries. We split up into teams to shop for gifts and food for the whole family. We had a wrapping party after work to wrap all the presents. It is an important Intech value to give back to the community while working together to build our team internally.
