Where were you Saturday September
12, 2015 at 8 AM? A group of bleary-eyed yet dedicated Intech employees were at
Bellevue Park in Wilmington, Delaware to participate in the American Heart
Association’s annual 5k walk/run fundraiser. According to the
organization’s website, “The American Heart Association is the largest
voluntary health organization dedicated to defeating heart disease, stroke and
other cardiovascular diseases.” Francesca Vavala, Andrew Barnes, April Monigle,
and Ken Barnes (pictured above) laced up their kicks and traversed the 3.2-mile
course to support The American Heart Association’s cause, “to build healthier
lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke — the nation’s No.1 and No.5
killers.”
Special thanks goes out to all the Intech co-workers who couldn’t be there in
person but showed their support through benevolent donations. With their help
and the generous matching donation from President Mike Patterson, the team
surpassed the $500.00 goal and raised $775.00 for the cause. Coming together to
exceed expectations, even when fundraising for a local charity event, is just
one way Intech stays true to its core value, Deliver More.
We have the heart
for success and literally walk the walk to prove it.
