The Importance of Phosphating

Phosphating is a process that uses an acid to remove parts of the metal substrate and re-deposit a layer of material that is a combination of the phosphate, metal substrate, and other metals. The new material sticks to the surface of the metal and provides a good coating base.

The surface created firmly adheres to the metal, provides better corrosion inhibition, increases surface area, and ensures that the powder coating will stick. With phosphating, the good coating base extends the working life of the piece.

Intech's July 4th BBQ and Farewell to Ben Murrow

On June 29^th, the staff of Intech Services took part of the busy workday to relax and celebrate the Independence of America, as well as to wish Ben Murrow, one of our Teflon™ team staples, good luck and farewell on his next adventure in Paris, France.

Everyone pitched in to create a plentiful feast, with appetizers such as pasta salad, guacamole, caprese salad, and several dips, as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, and crabs for the main course. After indulging in all the refreshments, the Intech team burned some calories challenging each other to competitive rounds of cornhole and ladder ball. It was a perfect setting for connecting, camaraderie, and offering our best to Ben.

Ben Murrow has been a team member of Intech Services for about 2 years and will be sorely missed. We wish him the best of luck as an American in Paris and know that he will soak up all of the wonderful, new experiences that await him. Au revoir Ben!

I³ Registration Open for the General Coating Community!

Intech Services, Inc. is excited to announce that our I³ Workshops will be conveniently located in Newark, Delaware this year! From September 27-29, 2016, we will be hosting the event at the Embassy Suites, only a 45-minute drive from the Philadelphia Airport.

This year marks our eighth annual I³ training! We are proud of the positive feedback we have received about the programs. We have continued to make additions to our workshops to improve each offering and add to the experience.
